Day 2

After 24 hours of travel, four different airports stops and five security checks, we finally reached our destination, Thessaloniki, Greece. Praise God, he was clearly evident with every part of the trip. My greatest worry from yesterday was the weight of my checked bags. The weight limit is 50 pounds, but because of a faulty scale I could never get a consistent reading. Needless to say, when we arrived at Bradley to weight the bags, my face dropped when I saw the first one total out to 51 Ibs, one pound over the limit which immediately results in a 150 dollar fine. But God answered my prayer and the man looked at the weight, shrugged, and let me through, Praise God! The rest of the trip went easily enough, I contented myself with taking pictures outside the airplane windows and watching movies. Our fourteen hour flight across the Atlantic (really seven hours with the time difference) went by surprisingly painlessly. I watched Karate Kid, and Robin Hood, and the trip seemed to fly by. Below are some random pictures from the day's events. I don't have time to write tags now, but I'll try to another day. Daniel (my brother) wrote some brief ones on his blog if you want to see. If you don't understand or want clarification about a certain picture, please comment and I'll try my best to explain.
